Currently arranging the archives of Loyola High School at Los Angeles for a book celebrating 150 continous years of Catholic high school education, Neil Bethke is also a consulting archivist for other collections in the Los Angeles area.
From 1994 to 2011 as archivist at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles Bethke kept the university's record of higher education beginning with Bishop Thaddeus Amat's founding of Saint Vincent's College in 1865. Bethke with noted associates and students, colleagues and staff maintained this story of civic building modern Los Angeles from a perspective of the Roman Catholic faith. To that end the LMU Hannon Library's Rev. Terrance Mahan, SJ Department of Archives & Special Collections holds records of St. Vincent's College, Los Angeles College, Loyola College, St. Vincent's School of Law, Loyola Law School, Loyola University of Los Angeles, Marymount School & College, St. Joseph's College of Orange, St. Vincent's School of Nursing to modern day.
